OSMO-Service
Osmosis has been applied to the food industry for many years. Its use in wine-making has made it possible to obtain enriched musts with an increase in extracts.
Enomeccanica Bosio - who have been developing and applying advanced technologies exclusively for the wine-making industry for 40 years have worked over the last few years on the application of REVERSE OSMOSIS to musts and CROSS-FLOW FILTRATION on wines, achieving the two main targets the originally set themselves:
- 100% PRESERVATION of varietal aromas and flavours in musts.
- Limited OPERATING COSTS
HF/ET
A very special machine has been developed called HF/ET, with a balance kw / permeate yeld / operating costs that has never before been achieved on this type of plant. Its reliability and initial, and above-all operating-cost benefits make the HF/ET a cutting edge food & wine industry machine.
SOME FEATURES OF OUR MACHINES
- Operating from 0°C to any room temperature
- No centrifugal pumps, just low-speed, high-flow pumps that optimize treatment without affecting the product.
- Minimal temperature variations during working of the must
- Output of between 20 and 2.600 litres+/hr of permeate
- EC standard machines with safety devices certified for 24 hour-a-day operation
- Tailor-made plant design
- Oversized hydraulic system for the HF and HF/ET models, so their power can be increased if necessary with the addition of extra membranes
This pressure device has been designed and built in compliance with P.E.D. DECREE directive no.93 of 25/02/2000.
It is governed by ARTICLE 3, PARAGRAPH 3.
The parts under pressure have been sized and verified by engineering studies with the assistance of F.E.M. analysis in order to guarantee the utmost customer safety.
The figures below show some of the operating phases, with simulation of the maximum pressures allowed for.
The following is a description of the safety devices which have been installed on the HF / ET and HF Series Reverse Osmosis Units in order to improve their performance.
5 x LOW PRESSURE CIRCUIT SAFETY DEVICES
- Automatic machine stoppage with filter blockage
- Automatic machine stoppage with liquid shortage
- Automatic machine stoppage with supply pressure of more than 2-3 bar, to protect the membranes and pump
- CAT high pressure pump start-up timer to evacuate all the air in the unit before it enters into operation;
- Automatic machine stoppage in the event of accidental closure of supply and drainage valves.
7 x HIGH PRESSURE CIRCUIT SAFETY DEVICES
- 80-bar high pressure transmitter 85-bar mechanical
- TELEMECANIQUE safety pressure switch
- 90-bar I.S.P.E.S.L.-approved mechanical safety valve
- Instant shut-down safety device fitted to safety valve
- Automatic machine stoppage in the event of any leakage anywhere in the unit
- Special safety device installed on maximum pressure regulation valve
- Alarm device on CRA pump sea
